    Analizando la lista, llama poderosamente la atenci\u00f3n la gran igualdad entre los equipos de Am\u00e9rica<\/strong> y Europa<\/strong>. De hecho, la ventaja europea es m\u00ednima pues entre los 20 mejores clubes del siglo XX<\/strong>, encontramos 11 del viejo continente por 9 sudamericanos.<\/p>\n

    El criterio que la IFFHS<\/strong> ha seguido para elaborar esta clasificaci\u00f3n es algo complicado. En lo que respecta a competiciones europeas, las victorias en la antigua Copa de Europa<\/strong> (actual Champions League) suman 8 puntos, mientras que los empates 4. Por su parte, la Copa de Ferias y Copa de la UEFA (Europa League) suman 6 por victoria y 3 por empate. Por \u00faltimo, la Recopa<\/strong>, sirve para obtener 5 puntos por victoria y 2,5 por empate.<\/p>\n

    La IFFHS<\/strong> decidi\u00f3 realizar una clasificaci\u00f3n por separado de Europa y Am\u00e9rica debido a la gran dificultad a la hora de equiparar las distintas competiciones.
