Teams that have won the most consecutive leagues in the history of European football

Last update April 22, 2022 by Javier Argudo

In recent times we have become accustomed to teams like Juventus, Bavaria o PSG sweep in their respective championships. But nevertheless, his hot streak of consecutive leagues, is still far from the record that other teams keep. that if, these streaks occurred in minor championships, nothing to do with the potential of Calcium, the Bundesliga or Ligue 1.

More consecutive Leagues won in Europe

  • Skonto from Riga (Latvia): 14 titles between the years 1991 Y 2004.
  • Lincoln (Gibraltar): 14 titles between the years 2002 Y 2016.
  • BATE Borisov (Belarus): 13 titles between the years 2006 Y 2018.
  • Rosenborg (Norway): 13 titles between the years 1992 Y 2004.
  • Dinamo de Zagreb (Croatia): 11 titles between the years 2005 Y 2016.
  • Ludogorets (Bulgaria): 11 titles between the years 2011 Y 2022.
  • Dinamo de tiflis (Georgia): 10 titles between the years 1990 Y 1999.
  • Dinamo de Berlin (East Germany): 10 titles between 1978 Y 1988.
  • MTK Budapest (Hungary): 10 titles between the years 1914 Y 1925 (stopped due to the First World War).
  • Pyunik (Armenia): 10 titles between the years 2001 Y 2010.
  • Sheriff (Moldavia): 10 titles between the years 2001 Y 2010.

Juventus, Celtic, Bayern and other recent streaks

As we said at the beginning of the article, nowadays, the Juventus overwhelmingly dominated a league as important as the Italian. The Old lady won 9 consecutive leagues (From season 2011-2012 to 2019-2020) although Inter Milan cut his streak.

In Scotland, the Celtic has benefited from the years when Rangers were not in the top flight. The verdiblancos, just like Juve, dominated and succeeded 8 consecutive leagues though, again, his streak was cut short by his eternal rival who became champion in the 2020-2021.

By last, we cannot forget the case of Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. The German giant has been a champion in all seasons since the 2012-2013. Borussia Dortmund and lately RB Leipzig try to end their hegemony although they have it complicated.

Seeing Bayern win the Bundesliga is a regular occurrence (depose)

Unfortunately, this trend far from ending, it seems to go on in time. In the case of Juventus one he Bayern, others like him join PSG in the League 1, that we named at the beginning. Clubs with a great economic muscle that, also, take control of the main figures of their maximum rivals in the fight for the title every season.
