Footballer of tremendous quality who has worn the national team shirt in 143 occasions being the author of 29 goals. He has played for numerous teams in different European leagues (Twente, Fulham, Sporting de Portugal, PSV…). One of the best soccer players in Costa Rica, without a doubt.

ALEJANDRO MORERA
One of the most 'retro’ of the list. He stood out in his country which allowed him to sign for the FC Barcelona in 1933. With the azulgrana he scored 68 goals spread over three seasons. Later he played for Hércules before returning to his country to sign for Alajuelense. In Costa Rica he was known as 'The magician of the ball'.
PAUL WANCHOPE
Another legendary player Costa Rica who went through the Spanish League because he wore the Malaga shirt. He had previously played for Premier League teams like West Ham and Manchester City.. He also played in exotic leagues such as the one in Japan or the MLS in the United States.. Is the second top scorer of the national team with 45 goals scored.

ROLANDO FONSECA
Could not miss the top scorer in the history of Costa Rica. Rolando Fonseca was the author of 46 goals in total 111 matches with the national team, a more than interesting average. Strangely, only played the World Cup in Korea and Japan in the year 2002.
WALTER CENTENO
One of the Costa Rican soccer players with the highest quality that has ever existed. He wore the national team shirt a total of 134 times he scored 24 goals. He was a fundamental player in the team that qualified for the World Cup 2002 Y 2006.
